Report Component on CUBA either YARG/Jasper

Hi Guys,

Since JasperReports Library is the world’s most popular open source reporting engine. Hopefully CUBA will add this feature as a component :slight_smile:

In my opinion reporting is one of the most important feature a developer platform must have. As an older vfp (Visual FoxPro developer) I feel very frustrated as the low standard reports are treated in almost all web platforms these days and somehow this includes CUBA platform also.
Jasper is preferabble than xls or docx report design and it deserves more attention. We have bought one licence for CUBA but still evaluating things as reporting is not at the standard I am used to.

Reporting addon is based on opensource library YARG (GitHub - cuba-platform/yarg: Yet Another Report Generator - CUBA Platform reporting engine). YARG supports JasperReports (Formatters · cuba-platform/yarg Wiki · GitHub). You can use YARG in your project instead of the Reporting addon.

Hi,

What i mean is, Since CUBA is a rad tool why not make the report tools much easier and faster. Like a drag & drop report components. either yarg/jasper but as a report component.
