Platform and Studio 7.0 BETA

Hello CUBA-Team,

Thanks a million for your great work and the huge effort for the new CUBA 7.

With Studio 7B3 it works very well on high-dpi devices.

I know you are working hard to get Cuba 7 ready, but by near year end I wish all the team a nice and pieceful time.

Best regards,
Steven

Hello Steven,
Thank you very much for your kind words!

Actually the graphical editors in Studio are still not rendered very well on Windows laptops with fractional scaling, but we cannot do anything with that. The only thing I can promise is that all editors except screen layout will be eventually rewritten to the IntelliJ native UI.

Sorry, went back to the previous cut and lost the error. If it happens again, I’ll let you know.

Well, it’s probably the “working smoothly” part I’m a bit worried about. I’ve only just got it to compile, and there are still a few rough edges (database scripts generation crashing, missing elements in the project window…) which have me thinking that doing it in two stages might work better (for me at least): first migrate to Version 7.0 of the framework and deal with any changes that requires, then at a later date, move over to Cuba Studio 7.

I’m going to start a new project and therefore I would like to know if I expect the new version or not. What is the new release date?

Hi Nelson,
Our aim is to release v.7.0 by the end of January.
