Is it possible to develop a full featured application without CUBA IDE (since it has the limitation of 10 DB components).

Yes it is possible to not use CUBA Studio at all. Just use your IDE / texi editor of choice.
At the end of the day CUBA platform is just a framework in the java ecosystem. So you can use all tools that can be used for every other java app.

@roshrnair3400 You can also use licensed version to use unlimited number of Entities in the database.
CUBA Studio and the additional plugins are well worth the price.
